HORACE SMALL® ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER'S MEMORIAL FUND
Three-Year Sponsorship Deal Secures Officers of the Month Program Recognizing and Honoring Law Enforcement Officials

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial FundWashington, D.C. - Horace Small®, the premiere clothing brand for law enforcement officers, has invested $300,000 to sponsor the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund's (NLEOMF) Officer of the Month program. The program recognizes and honors law enforcement officials who distinguish themselves through exemplary service and devotion to duty.

Last year, Horace Small® developed the Positive Force Award, given annually to a law enforcement officer who has distinguished him or herself by exemplary service above and beyond the call of duty. The new sponsorship of the NLEOMF Officer of the Month program is an excellent complement to the Positive Force Award, and another way for Horace Small® to partner with an organization that shares the same vision of increased public support for the law enforcement profession by commemorating the service of law enforcement officers across the country.

"This program will enable us to tell the great stories of law enforcement to a larger public. We aim to do this on an ongoing basis while educating a broader audience on the rigors and honor of this great profession," said Neal Waters, Vice President/General Manager of Government and Public Safety for VF Imagewear. "We are honored to partner with the NLEOMF on this program and look forward to supporting its continued growth over the next three years."

Begun in 1996, the Officer of the Month award presentation takes place during National Police Week each May at a luncheon hosted by the NLEOMF's Board of Directors. The awards are presented to the Officers of the Month from the previous calendar year by NLEOMF Chairman Craig W. Floyd. According to its mission statement, the program seeks "to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers." Created by Horace Small®, the Positive Force Award is given annually to a law enforcement officer who has distinguished him or herself by exemplary service that goes above and beyond the call of duty. The mission of the award is to provide a focus on stories of bravery and character by today's law enforcement heroes. The winner is chosen by a group of his or her peers within the law enforcement community, and granted a $5,000 cash award and another $5,000 gift for the charity of their choice.

The 2006 Positive Force Award winner was Timothy Greene of the Rock Hill, South Carolina Police Department. Greene was also the NLEOMF Officer of the Month in June 2005.

Horace Small® is now accepting nominations for the 2007 Positive Force Award and NLEOMF is accepting nominations for the Officers of the Month program at horacesmall.com and nleomf.com, respectively.
