Official Rules
Because we take your work seriously, Horace Small, a division of VF Imagewear, Inc. ("Horace Small") established the Positive Force Award as a way to recognize those who truly go above and beyond the call of duty.
We rely on you to help identify and reward those special few. Whether it's based on one incredible act of bravery or a lifetime of dedicated service, this is your chance to nominate someone you feel deserves consideration for the Horace Small Positive Force Award.

Program Period: The Horace Small Positive Force Award program will begin on July 31, 2011 at 12:01 am. C.S.T. and will end on June 30, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. C.S.T. Winners of the Positive Force Award will be selected on a monthly basis during the Program Period.
Eligibility: Nominators and nominees must be 18 years of age and older at time of entry. Employees of VF Imagewear, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, vendors and any other partner's and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
How to Enter: To participate, nominators must access the Internet and go online to www.facebook.com/HoraceSmall during the Program Period and nominate your candidate through the "Horace Small Positive Force Award" application through the Horace Small Facebook page.
You must be a Horace Small Facebook fan to nominate. Nominees must be, as of the date of award, an active city, county, state or federal law enforcement officer, first responder or fire fighter. Nominations may be initiated by any Horace Small fan. Nominations must be made by the end of each month. All applications must be accompanied by a photograph of the nominee(s). Other background information may be submitted with the nomination form and will be considered. Nominees will be voted upon and selected based upon the results. One vote is allowed per person, per day. Nominees who do not win in a given month will be automatically re-nominated for the subsequent month(s). In such cases, such nominees' votes shall be cumulated for the duration of the program. A nominee may be a winner only once during the Program Period.
By clicking on the nomination acknowledgement, nominators and nominees agree that Horace Small may use their likeness and any photography submitted on its Positive Force page and Facebook fan page.
Prizes: Each month's Positive Award Winner will receive a two hundred and fifty ($250) Horace Small Visa gift card, upon confirmation of eligibility. The prize will be distributed in the form of a pre loaded gift card. There is no substitution or transfer of prizes, except that Horace Small may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value. The prizes are expressly limited to the cash prize listed above and do not include taxes, or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply. Winners will forfeit any prize not claimed within forty-five (45) days of winning. In the event that a prize is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. Horace Small is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize.
Winner Selection: Decisions of management with regard to winners are final. One (1) winner per month will be selected based upon the voting tally, subject to the provisions herein, from all nominees submitted by fans via Facebook. Total awards for the Program Period twelve (12) Winners. Horace Small staff will notify winners when being selected upon confirmation of eligibility. Winners verify their identity and must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within 14 days of notification attempt or Prize will be forfeited.
Conditions: Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to sign an IRS W-9 or the equivalent. By participating in the Program, nominators and the nominees agree to have their names, voices and/or likenesses used in any advertising material relating to the contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. Horace Small reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the program, including substitution a prize of equal value, which will become effective upon announcement. Program Rules and names of winners (when available) are available for viewing at Horace Small's Corporate Office located at 545 Marriott Dr., Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37214, during regular business hours. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, Daily's in its sole discretion may require award winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold Horace Small, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the program. Failure to comply with the program rules may result in a contestant's disqualification solely at the discretion of Horace Small.
Conduct: Horace Small reserves the right to disqualify any nominations which are: 1) suspected of tampering with the entry process or the operation of the program; 2) to be acting in any manner deemed by Horace Small to be in violation of the Official Rules; 3) to be acting in any manner deemed by Horace Small to constitute disruptive behavior, or with intent to abuse, threaten, or harass any other person.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A USER OR ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROGRAM IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, HORACE SMALL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND COSTS (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEYS' FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Limitation of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for lost, incomplete, damaged, late, misdirected, stolen, or undelivered entries, or email or failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines or telephone systems; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission, transaction processing, or communication; interrupted or unavailable network, server, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other connections; miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or technical failures; scrambled transmissions; printing, typographical or other error appears within these Official Rules, the announcement of the prizes, in any program related advertisements or other materials; or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, telephone, electronic, or otherwise relating to or in connection with the program, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the program or the processing of entries, new accounts, mail, or email. Horace Small reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an entrant who Horace Small believes has attempted to tamper with, subvert or impair the entry process or the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this program and disqualify such person from participating in this Contest. The use of script, macro, bot, or other automated entry or similar devices is prohibited and entries through such devices and entries made by any other means which subvert the entry process are void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, entrant will be deemed the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry provided he/she is eligible according to these Official Rules. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (business, educational institution, etc) which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Horace Small may require proof to their satisfaction of being the authorized account holder.
Release of Liability and Disclaimer Acknowledgement: By participating in the program I hereby release and discharge Horace Small, and each of its respective officers, directors, representatives, agents, affiliates, assigns, beneficiaries, predecessors, successors or legal representatives, insurers and attorneys of any of them (collectively, the "Released Parties") of and from any and all claims, whether known or unknown, contingent or otherwise, which I may have, have ever had or may hereafter have against the respective Released Parties arising from my participation in the Promotion (the "Release").
